Yeah.

I guess lighting and shading practice?

Wow. This was draining to do. Draining, but I felt accomplished after finishing it. I spent some time working on this and thinking about storyboards for PenStroke at alternating times.

Hmmm, interesting. Normally I see the "string of fate/love" symbolism used to tie lovers together, so it's different to see the motif used here to keep them apart. You portrayed the emotion in their faces really well, but it would have been cool to see some more dynamic posing, them straining against their bonds, or seeing the ties cut into their coats a bit.

Great job, overall :)
